Two Texas Men Arrested On Jihad Charges – Religion of Peace

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Two men in Texas have been arrested for Jihad terror charges. Religion of Peace hits once again, this time within our borders. Bagledash born U.S. Citizen, Rahatul Ashikim Khan and Michael Todd Wolfe attempted to travel across the globe in order to train and engage in violent jihad.

Khan is reported to attempting to join al-Shabab, a Somalia based terror group linked to al-Qaida. Wolfe is reported to have the goal in learning to fight in Syria. Both men were apprehended by the FBI on separtely charged terror-related offenses.

Wolfe
According to charging documents, Wolfe’s wife met an undercover FBI agent in August 2013 and told the agent she and her husband wanted to “perform a violent form of jihad” outside of the United States. She said Wolfe “just wants to hop into Syria. He’s just ready to die for his deen [religion]. He’s ready to die for someone, for something,” court documents say.

On Jan. 22, both undercover FBI agents met with Wolfe and his wife, and Wolfe “indicated that he had learned that al-Qaida in Syria was training brothers from other countries (foreign fighters) and then sending those fighters back from Syria to their home countries to conduct terror attacks,” the FBI says in court documents.

Prosecutors also indicated Wolfe would be using some of his returned U.S. $5000 tax return for the trip.

Khan

Khan became a U.S. citizen in 2002 and is a full time student at the University of Texas-Austin, currently in summer recess. According to charges, Khan began discussion with an informant via online chat room which he used “as a platform to spot and assess potential recruits for committing violent jihad overseas.”

Through the contact, information was provided to Khan on how he could get to Somalia to join the terrorist group al-Shabab. This other contact, a co-conspirator, is believed to be in Florida where another American in Florida recently detonated himself in Syria. Arrests came for Khan, one month after the Justice

Department asked a special prosecutor to help lead U.S. efforts at stemming the flow of American fighters in Syria, aiding the civil war.

Issue

The Religion of Peace is nothing more than a platform for Jihadist to wage war. While many will continue to argue there is a billion of Muslims and only a few have this hate, the issue remains. We will continue to see a rise of home-grown jihadist, as the Religion of Peace continues to be ignored by our government.
